Defect Manager


Responsibilities
  • Manage the defect lifecycle from identification to resolution.
  • Coordinate with development, testing, and business teams to ensure proper prioritization and handling of defects, actively pushing for progress.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics and defect resolution progress, on a daily basis ensuring visibility and supporting decision-making.


Skills
  • Degree in areas such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, IT, or similar fields.
  • At least 3 years in leadership or coordination roles.
  • Experience with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong knowledge of testing processes and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
  • Familiarity with complex environments.
  • Familiarity with the financial sector is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, taking ownership and ensuring progress.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese (spoken and written).
