We are looking for a Manual Tester (STB/TV/OTT) with 2–5 years of experience to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of STB/OTT ecosystems, performance testing, soak testing, UI validation, and cross‑device behaviour. This role requires close collaboration with developers, product managers, and clients, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality releases and a seamless end‑to‑end user experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct functional, UI, performance, regression and soak testing for OTT platforms.
- Manage and guide the performance testing team to ensure consistent test execution and reliable results.
- Prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and defect reports in alignment with project requirements.
- Analyse logs (STB logs, device logs, server logs) to identify root causes and quality issues.
- Write or review test scripts using Python or other scripting tools to streamline repetitive testing tasks or aid in data validation.
- Utilize Power BI to create dashboards and insights for reporting QA metrics and performance trends.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and clients to reproduce, analyze, and resolve issues.
- Engage directly with clients to provide test updates, discuss risks, align on expectations, and ensure successful delivery of QA milestones.
- Utilize Youbora and OpenSearch tools for analytics, monitoring, and debugging test results.
- Support firmware validation and perform compatibility checks across devices and versions.
- Contribute to QA process improvement and best practices within the project team.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in Manual Testing within STB/TV/Mobile OTT domains.
- Experience managing or mentoring a performance testing team.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking tools.
- Experience working with Youbora and OpenSearch for log analysis and performance insights.
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to engage effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in scripting using Python or other scripting tools is preferred.
