We are looking for a skilled Manual Tester with strong experience in the Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in software testing methodologies, with proven ability to analyze business requirements, create test scenarios, execute manual test cases, and ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand functional requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform manual testing across various phases including system testing, integration testing, functional testing, and UAT support.
- Validate end-to-end workflows and system behavior specific to insurance processes such as policy creation, renewal, claims, underwriting, endorsements, and billing.
- Execute test cases, document results, identify defects, and track them through resolution.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to ensure alignment between requirements and outcomes.
- Prepare test reports, metrics, and documentation to support project deliverables and audit requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in Manual Testing.
- Strong Insurance domain knowledge – Life, Health, General/Property & Casualty (any applicable experience).
- Hands-on experience in writing and executing test cases, test plans, and test summary reports.
- Practical experience with defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, HP ALM or similar).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.
- Ability to analyze requirements, identify gaps, and propose quality improvements.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
