Data Architect
Responsibilities
- Analyse business processes, capabilities, and information needs across domains;
- Elicit, structure, and validate business and data requirements with stakeholders;
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical data specifications;
- Act as a primary interface between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams;
- Define business concepts, metrics, and information domains;
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models;
- Design and document data flows from source systems to analytical and operational datasets;
- Ensure alignment between business processes, data models, and data flows;
- Design data structures and datasets to support reporting, analytics, and operational use cases;
- Define and maintain business and technical metadata (definitions, lineage, ownership, quality rules);
- Ensure traceability between business requirements, data models, data flows, and delivered solutions;
- Define and enforce data quality rules in collaboration with business and technical teams;
- Analyse data quality issues and their impact on business processes and reporting;
* Use modelling and diagramming tools to document business processes, data models, and data flows; - Maintain version control for requirements, data models, and architectural artefacts;
- Support testing activities, including review of test scenarios, validation of data outcomes, and sign-off;
- Produce and maintain documentation (business requirements, data models, designs, glossaries, user guides);
- Support change impact analysis related to data and process changes;
- Advise on data architecture patterns and design options (platform-agnostic);
- Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of data and information standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or a similar role in a data environment;
- Experienced in providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement;
- Strong communication and reporting skills;
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing environment, and multi-task;
- Knowledge about the energy sector business is a plus;
- Fluent in English - written and spoken (mandatory).
