InnoWave is looking for a GenAI Engineer with a strong background in Generative AI and enterprise-grade solutions, hands-on mindset, and great communication skills, with availability to work from our office in Lisbon.
Lead the development and implementation of complex Generative AI solutions in enterprise environments
Design, prepare data, and build prototypes for enterprise GenAI applications
Independently develop GenAI-powered applications using OpenAI models and AI Search
Develop and optimize data pipelines for efficient integration of GenAI models
Design and implement RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) architectures
Develop backend APIs using FastAPI
Implement guardrails for content safety and observability using LangFuse
Contribute to strategic digital transformation projects with a focus on Generative AI
Ensure high-quality, scalable, secure, and well-documented solutions
Support deployment and operation of GenAI solutions across multiple environments (dev, production)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and, when applicable, lead GenAI-related initiatives
More than 3 years of professional experience in Machine Learning, Generative AI, or related fields
Proven experience implementing GenAI solutions in enterprise environments
Strong proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML libraries
Hands-on experience with LLMs on Microsoft Azure, including gpt-4o and o3
Solid understanding of RAG architectures and principles
Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks, namely LangChain and LangGraph
Experience optimizing and managing GenAI models in cloud infrastructures
Knowledge of Guardrails and observability, evaluation, and feedback mechanisms
Experience developing and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure
Familiarity with Docker, Azure Container Registry, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
Strong analytical thinking, autonomy, and problem-solving skills
Team spirit and excellent communication skills
Fluent in English (mandatory)
Experience leading teams or initiatives in GenAI projects
Knowledge of Gemini 2.5 Pro and Claude 3.7 Sonnet
Experience with Azure AI Services, including:
TTS (e.g. ElevenLabs)
STT (Whisper-large-v3)
STS (gpt-4o-mini-realtime-preview)
Azure Document Intelligence (OCR)
Embeddings (text-embedding-3-small / text-embedding-3-large)
